UPDATE TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD:
Yes. They did it again. This is the second time our hearing date has been changed.
The first time the court didn’t let us know until THE SAME DAY as the hearing and gave us no explanation.
This time they are canceling three days out and are saying it is due to a “family emergency,” which, if true, is obviously a good reason.
However…. the date they are changing it to is over TWO MONTHS from our original hearing date which seems rather less urgent and more… arbitrary? Capricious? Whimsical??
At the least, inexplicable.
In any case, the new hearing date is set for Monday November 17th at 2pm est.
The rest of the drill still applies: register no earlier than two business days in advance of the hearing (ie. Thursday November 13th or Friday November 14th) to listen in.
Let’s take advantage of the extra time the court has given us to sound the alarm and make sure that we get the number of registrants up into the thousands. Let’s make sure that America is aware of what’s going on and what’s at stake.
Listen, if they think they can wear us down and shake us off, they clearly haven’t met us yet. 😜😂

SEPTEMBER 19TH:
Well, we did it. We managed to get our members the right to listen into the court proceedings on Thursday September 25th at 2:30pm EST.
This may seem like a small victory, but it is an important one.
If the judge sees that there are many people in the public who are interested in the issues being raised by our case, namely the validity of ERA and the legal fact of women’s equality, the less likely that our demands can ignored and swept under the carpet yet again.
In order to hear EME attorney Wendy Murphy present her argument in Federal Court, hear the anti-equality arguments from the DOJ lawyers and listen to Judge William Young ask them his questions, you must:

This will be your one opportunity to hear for yourself exactly why this government believes that women and LGBTQ people are still not entitled to the equal protection of our laws — and why and how we disagree.
Our arguments are very strong and we deserve to win; but will we?
A lot of that is in your hands as public opinion and interest carry a great deal of weight.
