As one of the top National women’s organizations, we want to thank you for participating in our EME ERA Townhall and advocating publicly for the Equal Rights Amendment.
Despite our hard work, the present administration has NOT done the right thing for women and the ERA despite being in office for well over a hundred days.
Please join us in our Emergency Townhall on Saturday June 5th at 2pm pst/5pm est to discuss this urgent upcoming IN-PERSON PROTEST and SUSTAINED ACTION: The ERA Sentinel Project. The action will begin Thursday June 10th at 8am outside the U.S. Department of Justice on the National Mall in Washington D.C.
In this upcoming ERA Townhall, everyone will be visible and able to interact, make suggestions and share their ideas.
Please RSVP here for the Townhall and share widely: https://bit.ly/3uP6vbh
The goal of the ERA Sentinel Project is to be a constant, visible reminder to the Attorney General and the other attorneys working at the DOJ that justice is NOT being served and that they should do something about it.
The online sign up runs from June 10th to July 4th — for now.
We would like to ask you and your organization to commit to:
-
Spreading the word about the ERA Sentinels through your networks
-
Sending volunteers from your organization to stand Sentinel for the ERA outside the DOJ or
-
Sponsoring local ERA Advocates to stand Sentinel on your organization’s behalf ($20/hr; $40/shift)
Please sign up to stand Sentinel for the ERA: https://bit.ly/3vT3nfV
Or Please Sponsor a Sentinel here:
Shifts are M-F 8am – 10am and 4pm – 6pm
Those working at the DOJ will see us when they come to work and again when they leave.
By the July 4th holiday we will probably know the outcome of the ERA case in Appeals court.
*If the Barr Memo has not been lifted and the ERA remains unpublished at that point, we will reassess the ERA Sentinel Project and decide whether we should continue or shift strategy.*
Please join us Saturday at the ERA Townhall for one hour from 2-3pm pst/ 5-6pm est so that we can brainstorm with you and hear your ideas and suggestions.
With love,
Kamala, Natalie, Wendy, Thila and the EME Team
