EQUAL MEANS EQUAL is excited to co- host The Alice Paul Institute’s inaugural ERA Day: A Day of Activism, Education & Inspiration in support of the Equal Rights Amendment.

Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 12pm – 5pm

The Alice Paul Institute at Paulsdale 128 Hooten Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ  08054

The event features a panel discussion led by national leaders in the fight to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, a craft fair featuring over 20 women artists, and a unique opportunity to meet Kamala Lopez, the Executive Director and star of the break-through documentary Equal Means Equal during the networking happy hour from 3-5pm.

Alice Paul Institute has assembled a dynamic panel of speakers who will be answering the question “Why do we need the Equal Rights Amendment?” Moderated by Roberta W. Francis, the creator of the informative website www.EqualRightsAmendment.org, the panel includes Dr. Linda J. Wharton, Professor of Political Science at Stockton University; Marcy Syms, the Chair of the ERA Coalition; Laura L. Dunn, Esq., attorney and Founder of SurvJustice; and Bettina Hager, the Chief Operating Officer and D.C. Director of the ERA Coalition.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet representatives of over 15 organizations dedicated to advancing and protecting women and girls, voting rights, and women’s history. Confirmed organizations include the League of Women Voters of Burlington and Camden counties, the New Jersey Historical Commission, NJ Women Vote 2020 commission, AAUW, and many more.

Attendees will also have the chance to dine upon the culinary creations of The Fabulous Fig food truck, a woman-owned plant-based food truck.

Tickets are $15, either in advance or at the door. Cash bar during the happy hour from 3-5pm.

We hope to see you there!  We will be filming portions of the sequel to Equal Means Equal and sending a “thank you” clip to John Oliver from our 80’s dance party!  Please come join the fun!  We need to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together and join in strength and unity for the final stretch that lies ahead.

With love and thanks
