Today is Women’s Equality Day, but as we all know women do NOT have equality in the United States. So instead of celebrating, we are strategizing.
Kamala and I are in Washington DC today meeting with Supreme Court Justice of the United States, Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
We are looking forward to talking to her about the unconstitutional deadline placed on the ERA.
“If I could choose an amendment to add to the Constitution, it would be the Equal Rights Amendment,” said Justice Ginsberg. “I would like my granddaughters, when they pick up the Constitution, to see that notion – that women and men are persons of equal stature – I’d like them to see that is a basic principle of our society.”
