Sunday is Constitution Day and we at EQUAL MEANS EQUAL are activating and mobilizing the public to push for the Equal Rights Amendment to take its rightful place in it as the 28th Amendment.
On September 17th EQUAL MEANS EQUAL & Moby Arts will be hosting a special event to commemorate Constitution Day with live guests: Mexican-American songwriter & performer Nancy Sanchez, a live art activation by LA Hope Dealer, Corie Mattie, native American artist Siyowin, voter registration from the League of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles plus an all-female art lineup in our powerful exhibition.

The Equal Rights Amendment, the 28th Amendment to the Constitution, was fully ratified in 2020 and provides all Americans with equal rights and protections under our laws, regardless of sex or gender.
Unfortunately, the Federal Government is refusing to publish and adopt it; the first time this has ever happened in the history of our country and in direct violation of Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
Artist Corie Mattie will be creating an art installation of the twenty-six words that will change the world: the text of the Equal Rights Amendment. 
This special event to draw attention to the ERA on Constitution Day will take place on Sunday September 17th at 2pm and is free and open to the public.
