VICTORY FOR THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT IS CLOSER THAN EVER…

As Women’s Equality Day approaches, four years after the ERA was ratified in Virginia, we are extremely heartened that two important organizations have joined EQUAL MEANS EQUAL
to demand that the U.S. Government publish the amendment immediately.

The American Bar Association passed the following resolution:
Resolution 601
urges federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal governments to support implementation of the Equal Rights Amendment (“ERA”) to the United States Constitution (“Constitution”), in accordance with Article V of the Constitution; and urges all bar associations and the legal community as a whole to support implementation of the ERA.

And today the League of Women Voters urged a nation-wide call for “Urgent Action for Equality.”

“Leading up to Women’s Equality Day, the League of Women Voters of the United States and League chapters from all 50 states and the District of Columbia sent a letter to the White House and members of Congress urging action
for the immediate publication of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in the US Constitution.”

The letter sent today (8-23-24) by the League of Women Voters calls for:
US President Biden to instruct the US Archivist to fulfill their statutory duty to certify and publish the Equal Rights Amendment in the US Constitution.

We are so very close, dear equality activists.  It would be a very savvy move for Biden to publish ERA on Monday (Women’s Equality Day) and be able to tout that the administration truly supports women. By taking this simple action, President Biden would go down in U.S. history as providing human and civil rights to over half the population, cementing a monumental legacy.

While we hold our breath over the weekend, here is a little video we made after installing a FINAL IMPACT Wall in the heart of the Melrose shopping district in mid Los Angeles.  We hope you enjoy it.

With love and gratitude for your continued support and advocacy,

Kamala and the EME Team
