Happy New Year to you and your family!

By Kamala, Natalie and the EME team

Happy New Year to you and your family!

We are so thankful to all of our supporters, activists, advocates, and donors who have joined us on this 100+ year long marathon to enshrine equality of rights under law in our American Constitution. We are in the final stretch and we can see the finish line. It is time to dig deep and not stand on the sidelines, we have not won yet! We must stand in unity together until E.R.A. is certified as the 28th Amendment. We must hold our elected officials, courts, and judges accountable.

2020 been a grim year for many citizens all over the globe, but let’s take some time to celebrate the amazing accomplishments for Equality over this year.

The hard work on the ground in Va of Equal Means Equal, Va Ratify E.R.A., and countless other organizations in the 2019 Va elections solidified a pro- Equality Majority for the 2020 session.

Virginia became the 38th and final state to ratify the ERA.

Equal Means Equal filed a lawsuit against the archivist David Ferriero in Massachusetts Court.

Equal Means Equal’s Attorney Wendy Murphy

America elected the first female Vice President.

It’s been rough but we have hope, we could not have accomplished this without you. It is our New Year’s Resolution to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment in the Constitution of the United States of America and we know 2021 will be the year E.R.A. will be the law of the land.

Please join us in this fight by getting involved with us or donate to fuel the fight.

Check out KPFK’s radio show Politics or pedagogy? hosted by John Cromshow, in which Equal Mean Equal President Kamala explains why President Biden should immediately direct the Archivist to simply publish the ERA and how that would work.

With love and gratitude,

Kamala, Natalie, Thila and the entire EME Team

PS: Your generous tax-deductible contributions are an investment in our results-driven organization on the frontlines of the fight for equality. Any amount is greatly appreciated, but for donations of $500 or more we’ll send you our exclusive (and very popular!) handmade Equal Means Equal hoodie as a special thank you.
