As the Elections Approach, We Must Press For Equality

By Kamala, Natalie, and the EME Team

Can you answer this critical question? Do my state candidates in the upcoming midterm elections support the ERA?

The Equal Means Equal Equality Pledge for the ERA will provide Americans with crucial information they need to know before they vote on November 6th.

Below is the map of the United States with the unratified states in white.  If you live in one of these states we need your help now.

Sign up to help follow-up on the Equality Pledge in your state.

If you live in a ratified state, you can still help! Fill out the volunteer form and someone will be in touch to identify candidates for you to follow up with.

We cannot afford to wait any longer.  These elections could not be more important; every woman in this country needs to know EXACTLY where their candidate stands on full legal equality for all Americans.

The Equal Rights Amendment will begin to address so many of the issues that are adversely affecting women today; from sexual harassment in the workplace to rape on campus, from a pervasive gender pay gap to an alarming level of violence against women, full legal equality under our most sacrosanct of laws, the U.S. Constitution, could not be more critical.

We must ensure that the Equality Pledge is officially signed or rejected by each candidate in every unratified state.  In order to do that, we must call every office, speak to every chief of staff, and educate every candidate.  And we are willing to do that.  We are doing that.  Let’s do it together!

Please consider sharing some time, even just an hour or two, phone banking for the ERA. Sign up today.

Equal Means Equal has no doubt that the ERA will be ratified in the upcoming legislative session.  The only question is which state will be first!  Virginia and Arizona are in a dead heat but there are other states making a play to take this exalted position in the history books… Don’t let your state get left behind!

Join the fight for equal rights and be a part of making Herstory.

With love and thanks,

Kamala, Natalie and the EME Team
